Wykoff Bridge Re-opened

Wykoff Bridge Re-opened Detour has been lifted; remaining work will occur under traffic Clearfield, PA – As overall work continues, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) re-opened a Cameron County bridge today on Wykoff Run Road (Route 2001).

The bridge spans a branch of Wykoff Run on Route 2001 (Wykoff Run Road)) in Gibson Township, about one mile northeast of the Quehanna Highway (Route 2006) intersection. With the new bridge in place, PennDOT can remove it from Cameron County’s structurally deficient list.

PennDOT has also removed the 38-mile detour for the project. That detour used Wykoff Run Road (Route 2001), Quehanna Highway Route 2006), Route 555, and Route 120.

Remaining work will take place under traffic, with total completion expected by April 21. On average, almost 400 vehicles move through this area each day. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $500,000 project.

Drivers are reminded to move through work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits, and always buckle up.
