To our Followers, Supporters, Community & everyone in between, The Emporium Vol. Fire Department would like to OFFICIALLY announce that we are coming to an end with Online Raffles.
The month of December will be our very last month of Online Raffles.
The last Raffle will most likely be posted right before Christmas.
We just want to be as open & transparent as possible.
We have had an amazing run of Online Raffles & we have accomplished all of our goals & more doing these Raffles.
Without the continued support from all of you, we would have never been able to accomplish so much in such a short timeframe, with doing these Raffles, our local Fire Tax was not raised & we have saved our Community a ton of money.
As a Fire Department, we are very proud of what these Online Raffles have accomplished & we have made so many improvements to our Station.
We have compiled a list of items that have been purchased to update our Department:
•Engine 142 - Rosenbauer (Replaced a 1997 KME)
•Updated Tri-Band Radios
•Replaced 1” 3/4 & 3” hose to brand new Mercedes Hose (Some hose dating as far back as 1960)
•Retro Fitted all Trucks to National Standard, with replacing all brand new fittings, nozzles, etc.
•Brand New LED Truck Bay Lighting
•New Station Reporting Computers
•Brand New Sound System
•Brand New Secondary Storage Building
•Brand New Parking Lot & Concrete Sidewalks
•3 - Equipment Trailers
•Brand New - Complete Renovation on Bathrooms (Have not been updated since 1988)
•This is not everything, but a really good chunk of what we have completed.
We have also donated to a few of our Local Community Departments & Organizations.
•The Emporium Borough Police Department
•Cameron County Ambulance Service
•Cameron County Christmas Gift Program
•Elk County Project Gifts
•We have also Donated to many other Local Departments/Organizations for Basket Raffle items, Live Entertainment for our local Christmas Benefit Dance, and the list goes on.
We want to thank all of you for supporting us & allowing us to make such amazing improvements!
We will be posting Raffles until mid-late December.
We hope you all will consider continuing supporting us until we are officially done with our Raffle Journey!
That being said, I will be compiling a list of other Departments & Organizations (a few of our favorites) to hopefully sprinkle the love & fund support to as well!
