As we complete the transition of Susquehanna Community Bank customers into our systems, there will be a short period of downtime that affects branch services and Digital Banking.
Here’s what to expect:
• All C&N offices will be closed on Saturday, December 6.
They will open as scheduled on Monday, December 8th.
• Digital Banking will be unavailable starting Friday, December 5 at 10 p.m.
Services will return Monday, December 8 at 9 a.m.
If you need to make transfers, schedule payments, or review your account activity, please take care of those items before the outage begins.
We appreciate your patience during this work and look forward to welcoming our new customers on the other side of the transition.

We are excited to invite the community to the upcoming Senior Made Art Display at Guy and Mary Felt Manor in Emporium, PA.
This special event is the culmination of an Arts in Education residency with teaching artist Julie Mader, who has spent the past several weeks guiding residents through hands-on creative exploration.
The exhibit will showcase artwork inspired by the beauty, history, and character of the PA Wilds.
From nature-themed paintings to mixed-media pieces, each work reflects the unique perspectives and talents of the participating seniors.
We hope you will join us in celebrating their accomplishments and the creative spirit that thrives within our community.
The exhibit is this Saturday, December 6, from 2-4pm at Guy and Mary Felt Manor. Stop by and show your support and meet these local artists!

The Shippen Township monthly meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd has been rescheduled to Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
The meeting will be held at the Shippen Township building.

Today we gathered left over tags from downtown.
We put out about 360 tags and only had 88 left.
Last year we had nearly 200 left over so this is amazing!
We finished purchasing all of the wish list gifts using donations and have some amazing volunteers to help us finish shopping for the rest of the tags over the next week.
Reminder that gifts with tags attached are due this Friday!
Return to any of the tree locations or the Chamber (we go there daily to pick up).
Jean E. Dunkelberger
Jean E. Dunkelberger, 101, of Emporium, PA, passed away peacefully at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys, PA, on Sunday night, November 30, 2025.
She was born August 9, 1924, in Emporium, PA, a daughter of the late John F. and Miriam Cooper McManigle. Jean was the granddaughter of the late James and Genevieve “Jennie” Flynn McManigle of Buffalo, NY. She attended Saint Theresa Catholic School and South Park High School in Buffalo. Shortly after graduation, in November 1943, she married her first husband, the late W. Merle DeLozier, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Buffalo. Following his passing, she later married the late Francis Quigley, and after his passing, she married the late Roy Dunkelberger.
Jean was employed over the years by GTE Sylvania, Judy’s, and the Vogue Shop, all in Emporium. She was a proud 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #194, a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Emporium, and belonged to the Emporium Garden Club and the Wellness Center. Jean gave generously of her time, volunteering for more than 18 years at Elk Regional Health Center and Penn Highlands Elk.
A devoted member of Saint Mark Catholic Church, she served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister and participated actively in the Catholic Daughters of America #1059, the Rosary Society, and the Care and Concern Committee. Jean was a woman of deep faith. She enjoyed reminiscing, sharing stories with both new friends and old, and took great pride in her Irish heritage. Above all, she cherished her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly J. Walker and Frances T. Jablonski, both of St. Marys; a stepdaughter, Sue Dunkelberger of Emporium; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Jean was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, John F. “Jack” DeLozier and his wife Sandra; her daughter, Barbara Smith; sons-in-law, Donald Walker and Raymond Jablonski; grandson, Michael Smith; granddaughter, Donn Elizabeth Walker Munz; five sisters, Maxine George, Elaine McManigle, Phyllis Sullivan, Judy Mongillo, and Virginia Pope; and two brothers, David McManigle and John “Mick” McManigle.
There will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM, with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 E. 4th Street, Emporium, PA 15834 or to Cameron County SPCA, 678 South Mountain Rd., Emporium, PA 15834.

Cameron County Chamber of Commerce continuing with a family friendly fun event highlighting Christmas decorated homes and
businesses. This year participants are encouraged to submit videos! The selfie scavenger hunt kicks off Saturday November 28. For
the entire month of December people are encouraged to take selfies in front of items listed on a scavenger hunt sheet and upload the to
Facebook Page Christmas in Cameron County. On New Years Day random winners will be announced. Scavenger hunt sheets are
available online and at the chamber of commerce.

Businesses and organizations in Cameron County preparing for Christmas in the Wilds December 5 and 6. Cameron County Chamber
of Commerce executive director Tina Solak says this weekend of events will bring smiles to the youngest and oldest! “It is hard to
pick the one event that brings the most joy,” says Solak. Friday night you have the parade, followed by the tree lighting, and on
Saturday Santa comes to town with his reindeer to enjoy breakfast and heads to his favorite Cameron County location, which is Sarah
Jane’s A Christmas Time.
Vendors, restaurants and stores in Emporium will have special hours Friday night December 5. From 4-8pm you can pick up cookie
trays, bring your pet for pictures with the Grinch, support organizations and businesses. The Alcohol Drug Abuse Services Recovery
Center and Emporium Senior Center will host vendors, pet photos and a soup sale, while the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial
Library will have a book sale and sell Sloppy Joes. The Emporium Volunteer Fire Department and Cameron County Chamber of
Commerce hosting basket raffles. The parade steps off at 6:30pm Friday with the judges stand on East Fourth Street across from
Pizza Palace Plus. At 8pm the tree will be lit.
Saturday Santa arrives at the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department with his live reindeer. Breakfast will be served from 9-11am. At
11am Santa’s favorite elf will read stories to children at Sarah Jane’s Art Studio aka A Christmas Time. Also on Saturday the
Christmas Scavenger Hunt locations will be announced at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce at 10am. The Cameron
County Quarterback Club will announce basket winners Saturday afternoon, while the Community Dance will draw winners during its
event at the VFW Saturday night.
“Last weekend businesses were packed with shoppers and the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department Craft Show brought more than
30 vendors to the county,” Solak said. Throughout this week and concluding on Saturday shoppers are encouraged to spend at least
$100 filling out the Shop Small card. When it is filled, drop it off at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce. On Saturday at
1pm a drawing will be held for up to $300 in chamber bucks.
Many more activities are planned for the remainder of December including Wreath Across America ceremonies, Sinnemahoning
Sportsman Club Children’s Christmas and events with Santa each weekend at Sarah Jane’s.

We picked the coldest day of the year, but we got these pretty lanterns out of storage and loaded up the planters at 4th and Broad with fresh evergreens.

Last week we added our first bit of downtown Christmas cheer with a stop at Aroma Cafe and placing small Christmas trees in front of some businesses.
Carolyn M. Stuckey
Carolyn M. Stuckey, 77, of Emporium, PA, passed away at Penn Highlands DuBois on Thursday morning, November 27, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born October 14, 1948, in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late Frank D. and Kathryn Bierly Wolfanger.
Carolyn was a 1966 graduate of Cameron County High School. For most of her life she devoted herself to being a homemaker and babysitter, roles she treasured and fulfilled with great love and care. She was a member of the Vets Club and enjoyed creating wood crafts, crocheting, and spending time with the children she cared for over the years. Above all, Carolyn’s greatest joy was her family and the little ones whose lives she touched.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Hulick of Emporium and Leasia Clark (Jeff) of Florida; a son, Bruce Stuckey, Jr. (Rita) of Emporium; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Wolfanger (Trudie) of Emporium; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Haynes, and a brother, Raymond Wolfanger.
There will be no visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
