Rotary Club of Emporium
Shannon Johnson, coordinator and director of the 4-H Animal Science Club was guest speaker of Rotarian Rowan Crisp.
Shannon enlightened us with excitement and direction as to how the club allows youth to learn about and interact with animals. The club helps the youth develop skills like responsibility, patience, and decision making. They also learn about animal health, nutrition, physiology, reproduction, marketing, and record keeping. Flyers will be passed out to the schools in the near future. The program is run through Penn State Extension of Penn State University.
