Charles P. Connelly

Chuck was a hitch-hiker, anyone who knows him has probably seen him hitching along the highways of Cameron County. He even hitch-hiked to California and back several times.

 In the early morning of September 6th Chuck hitched his last ride at Penn Highland’s hospital in Brookville, PA. He had spent his last years in the dementia unit at Snyder Memorial in Marienville, PA. Chuck was born on August 30, 1953 in St. Marys Hospital to Robert P. and Mary (Howlett) Connelly both now deceased. 

His siblings were Dianne (Connelly) DeShong (Terry) of Punxsutawney, PA, and Robert P. Connelly of Tucson. AZ. He also had two half-siblings Karin (Connelly) Allen (Donald) of Florida, David Connelly (Yvette) of Wyoming, and one stepbrother William Dei- trich of Colorado.

 Chuck is survived by a daughter Belinda (Myers) Leatherman (Sean) of Troutville, PA , and two sons Charles P. Connelly of Emporium. PA and Patrick C. Connelly of Sharon, one step- daughter Debra Carter. Also, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He had one son who preceded him in death. Elijah James Connelly. 

 Furlong Funeral Home, 140 Cherry St., Marienville, PA. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr Connelly. 
 There will be no services held.

  1. Awe Chuck. Always liked this develished bugger. I remember him and Bobby in school. He was always kind to me and always up to something silly. R.I.P.Chucky.

  2. Chuck was like my big brother. He was like my family. My brother Dave Royer and Chuck were long time friends since childhood. He was such a good guy. He will be sadly missed. Fly High my dear friend.
