70th Annual Drum and Henry Fishing Derby June 1st

 

Get the kids fishing equipment ready for the Drum and Henry Fishing Derby. 

It is the 70th year that this event has provided Youth 14 years old and Younger the opportunity to enjoy a fun filled day of fishing.

 This year’s event will take place June 2nd on the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club Pond in Sizer Run. 

The Derby will run from 1:00PM to 4:00PM and prizes will be drawn throughout the day for those that have registered. 

Live bait only is allowed, the use of artificial lures will be prohibited due to safety reasons. Each child is permitted to catch three (3) fish and no catch and release will be permitted. Refreshments will be available throughout the day for registered youth. The youth can continue to enjoy fishing the Bucktail Pond through June 18th and the pond will be closed to adults during that time. The same rules apply through this time period as during the Derby. Adults are also reminded that alcohol or pets are NOT permitted on Bucktail Rod and Gun Club property grounds during the event.
