Mark A. Lingenfelter

Mark A. Lingenfelter, 69, of Sizerville Rd., Emporium, PA passed away at UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday (May 7, 2022) afternoon following a brief illness with his wife by his side. He was born April 15, 1953 in St. Marys, PA a son of Elsie Fillhart Lingenfelter, Driftwood, PA and the late Harold Lingenfelter. On July 27, 1985 in First United Methodist Church, Smethport, PA he married Amie Shelander, who survives.

Mark graduated from Cameron County High School in 1971. He retired from GKN after 44 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporium. Mark had a passion for working with his hands, whether it be handy work around the house, gardening, and making sauerkraut. He always was there for others to lend a hand, especially his family. He was never shy about joking with anyone and making their day better. His presence was felt in whatever room he was in.

In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Callaway (Joe), Emporium; a son, Edward Lingenfelter, Santa Clara, CA; and a grandson, Andrew Callaway; sister, Carol Delp (William), Sinnamahoning; sister, Debbie Smetana (Clem), Fayetteville, Georgia; sister, Lori Lupro (Randy), Driftwood; brother, Phillip Lingenfelter (Donna), Kane; sister, Dawn Haynes (Joshua), Clymer, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lingenfelter and a sister, Ronda in infancy,

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Andrew Spore, Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, PA
