Mary Jo Sestina

Mary Jo Sestina, 86, of Guy & Mary Felt Manor,  Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Sunday morning (February 7, 2021). She was born June 17, 1934 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late John J. and Florence "Honey" Palmer Glasl. On June 29, 1957 in St. Mark Catholic Church she married H. Donald Sestina who preceded her in death.

Mary Jo graduated from Emporium High School. She worked as a secretary at the former Sestina Insurance Agency in Emporium. She was a member of St.Mark Catholic Church.

She is survived by daughter, Lisa Banks, Wilmington, NC; son, Don (Ricki) Sestina, Emporium; son, John (Patti) Sestina, Walkersville, MD; daughter, Ann (Brian) Osoba, West Hartford, CT; nine grandchildren: Jen (Alex) Anderson, Jason, Kristin, Andrew & Nathan Sestina, Cali Banks, Brian (Shannon) & Matt Sanchez and Katie Osoba; four great grandchildren: Liam Minnock Sestina, Adeline Anderson, Bella and Brooks Sanchez; five sisters, Rita (Barry) Poorman, Emporium; Sally (Gene) Perry, Endwell, NY; Judy Erskine, Emporium; Eleanore (Ed) Mottern, White Hall, MD; Stephanie Petty, Emporium; sister-in-law, Marie Whitcomb, Dents Run; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Florence "Honey" Palmer Glasl, and her husband, H. Donald Sestina.

There will be No Visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday (February 12, 2021) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. The funeral Mass will be streamed live on St. Mark Emporium, PA Facebook page. Current Covid-19 precautions should be observed with social distancing and masks.

Burial will follow in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA. Memorial.
