William G. "Doc Holliday" Munsell


William G. "Doc Holliday" Munsell, 72, of Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor on Friday evening (June 22, 2018)

He was born June 14, 1946 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late William H. L. and Marguerite Ginther Munsell. Bill graduated from Emporium High School and then from Williamsport area Community College in 1968 as a draftsman. He was a retired draftsman and salesman having worked many years in the powdered metal industry. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Emporium Moose Lodge, Port Allegany Legion, North American Fishing Association, and the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club. He was often referred to as “Doc Holliday“ by his friends. He was an avid fisherman who loved fishing on Lake Ontario, deep-sea fishing and fly fishing on most any stream he could find. He enjoyed NASCAR, country music and attending jamborees. His family and friends were most important to him.

He is survived by son, Randall S. (Mia) Munsell, Finleyville, PA; daughter, Lisa A. (Steven) Housler, Emporium; daughter, Jill M. (Anthony) Catalano, Howard, PA; son, Aaron P. Munsell, Emporium; Nine Grandchildren: Darienn & Cali Housler, Mara Munsell, Sean, Jenna &  Nicholas Catalano, Nathan Munsell, Tylar Botera &  Tory Younkin; one brother, Don (Diane) Munsell, Austin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Munsell and a sister Greta Erickson.

 A Memorial Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Thursday (June 28, 2018) at 5:00 PM with Pastor Emelia Burdick, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. 
Visitation will be at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the Service.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
