Sinnemahoning State Park is offering a variety of outdoor programs this weekend, including an inner tube float, introduction to camping, and an invasive species work day. Programs details include:
Bike and Float the First Fork. Take a bicycle tour along the Lowlands Trail, then cool off on a relaxing float back to 40 Maples. Adult bikes, inner tubes and life vests available. Group size limited. Pre-registration required. Saturday, June 9, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Meet at 40 Maples Day Use Area.
Let's Get Camping! Pitch a tent, try new equipment and pick up tips and tricks on green camping. Bring your favorite camp story and s'more ingredients for a fun and delicious program! Saturday, June 9, 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM, Campground Amphitheater.
Destroy the Invaders! Volunteer Work Day. Sinnemahoning is under attack from aggressive, fast growing plants! Learn more about invasive species and lend a hand as we fight back against these invaders. Work gloves will be provided. Sunday, June 10, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Meet at the Wildlife Center.
