Gerald W. "Jerry" Moate

Gerald W. "Jerry" Moate, 67, of 179 Lyons Run Road, Emporium, PA died peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday morning (June 3, 2018). He was born March 6, 1951 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Albert and Betty Wishman Moate. Jerry graduated from Cameron County High School. He retired, after over 44 years, from Motor Coil in Emporium. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed being called the "Sheriff of Moateland".

 He always used the expression "LOVE YOU LONG TIME"

Jerry is survived by a son, Corey Moate, Emporium; two daughter, Alyssa (John) Larry, Morgantown, WV and Loreleigh Moate, Pittsburgh; two grandchildren: Dominick and Carina, three sister, Virginia "Peach" (George) Singer, Newton, NC; Barbara (Ralph) McKimm, Sr., Emporium; Tina (Rick) Mix, Weedville; several nieces and nephews and two special friends, Cindy and Alayna Genevro.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Moate, and three sisters, Susan Moate Swasnick, Carolyn Frutiger & Patty Moate. 

At his request there will be No visitation or service.
