Planned Maintenance
Work on the kitchen area of the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce Innovation Center focusing on floor installation. This week
the entrance to the artisan center will be moved to the side door adjacent to the parking lot to accommodate work on the floor in the
vestibule. In addition a new floor will be installed in the kitchen area of the building. That work is expected to take one week.
Cameron County Chamber of Commerce executive board members and volunteers have been washing all kitchen tools in anticipation
of finalizing the kitchen renovations by the end of the month. The $99,000 project funded by USDA and when complete will allow
home bakers and food producers the opportunity to sell their items at festivals, farmer’s markets, and grocery stores.
The renovation to the kitchen area is the final major renovation to the former Cabin Kitchen Restaurant. Work on that area began in
March.
