Pennsylvania Route 872 (PA 872) is a state highway spanning approximately 39.8 miles (64.1 km) through Cameron and Potter counties in Pennsylvania.
It begins at PA 120 in Grove Township and extends north to U.S. Route 6 (US 6) and PA 44 in Coudersport.
The route starts in Grove Township, Cameron County, as First Fork Road, running north-northeast alongside the First Fork Sinnemahoning Creek through forested regions, including sections of the Elk State Forest.
It skirts the western edge of Sinnemahoning State Park near the George B. Stevenson Reservoir, continuing through sparsely populated areas such as Lushbaugh and First Fork.
Crossing into Wharton Township, Potter County, PA 872 proceeds through the Susquehannock State Forest, passing locales like Berge Run and Wharton.
In Sylvania Township, it reaches Costello, where it turns west onto Costello Road, crossing the creek into Portage Township and entering the borough of Austin.
Here, the route becomes Costello Avenue, then Rugaber Street, intersecting with PA 607 before heading north into Keating Township.
The highway passes near the Austin Dam Memorial Park, site of the historic Austin Dam failure, and continues through rural landscapes into Homer Township as Dividing Ridge Road.
It then traverses agricultural and wooded areas in Eulalia Township, reaching the community of Jenkins Hill before entering Coudersport as Buffalo Street.
PA 872 concludes at the intersection with US 6 and PA 44 in Coudersport, with the roadway continuing as North Hollow Road beyond this point.
