Sinnemahoning State Park
American Woodcocks have returned to Sinnemahoning State Park just in time for our Woodcock Walk! This secretive shorebird of upland habitats spends most of its time hidden from view while it forages for earthworms, but during spring at dawn and dusk the males take part in an elaborate courtship display that culminates with a spiraling flight and descent.
Join a park naturalist this Saturday from 7:30-8:30 pm as we watch for the males engaging in their annual sky dance!
