Jacob E. Pieczynski

 

Jacob E. Pieczynski, 70, of Emporium, PA passed away at his residence in Emporium, PA surrounded by his family early Saturday morning (November 2, 2024) following a lengthy illness. He was born May 31, 1954 in Buffalo, New York a son of the late Edward J. and Cora Curry Pieczynski. On August 24, 1974 in Free Methodist Church, Emporium, PA he married the love of his life, Kathleen Reickerd, who survives.

Jacob served with the US Army during Vietnam War. He retired from GE Motor Coil where he worked for many years. Jacob enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed traveling to Angola, NY to spend time with his family that lives there. When Jacob was still able to, you could find him at his favorite fishing hole with his brother Rob. Family meant everything to him. Jacob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Renee Newton, and Tara Newton (Ben), both of Emporium; a son, Ed Pieczynski (Becky), Emporium; nine grandchildren: Derek (Meredith), Lindsey, Larissa, Emilie, Lexi, Maxx, Brenna, Kaylie and Jacob, one great granddaughter, Lucy Newton; three sisters, Gertrude Maygar, Buffalo, NY; Debbie Pieczynski, Angola, NY; Joyce Thomas (Rob), Indiana, PA; four brothers, Stanley Pieczynski (Joyce) and Michael Pieczynski, both of Georgia; Kenneth Pieczynski, Buffalo, NY; Timothy Kron (Debbie), Angola, NY; long time best friend, Wilbur “Sonny” Gummo (Marcie), Emporium; and many nieces and nephews.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Pieczynski,

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 @ 10:30 am at St Mark Catholic Church. 
There will be no visitation. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
