Cameron County Farmer's Market Intoduces D's Queen Bees!

 Cameron County Farmer's Market

The next vendors to sign on for this year’s market season are returning favorites from last year, Dylan & Ashley Major with D's Queen Bees!

Dylan & Ashley are the proud owners of a very busy apiary in Port Allegany that they have been running for the past 8 years. They went into this last winter with about 166 hives, each housing an average of 60,000 bees. If you do the math that’s close to 10 million bees producing delicious honey, wow! There is a lot of work and many skills involved in running an apiary of this size so they divide and conquer, with Dylan taking care of the bees and bottling the honey while Ashley makes a variety of beeswax products.

For those of you that enjoyed shopping at their stall last summer, you will be excited to know that they will be offering not only the same selection of spiced honeys, lip balms, soaps and wax melts that they had last year but they will also have a new range of products. Their Cinnamon Flavored Creamed Honey sounds especially tasty, as does the Lemon and Cinnamon Honey Candy. If you like a bit of spice in your honey try the Reaper Honey or the Hot Garlic Honey (my favorite!). They will also be offering a new Beeswax & Honey Salve as well as a Wood Polish.

If you’re looking for something delicious to eat or something all natural to add to your beauty routine they have you covered!

And if you just can’t wait until our market season starts up again in May then head over to Port Allegany and you can find their products for sale in the local Shop ’n Save as well as the Port Allegany Pharmacy. If you’re near Smethport you can pop into Costas Supermarket and in Portville, NY you will find them in For Crafts Sake.

We are thrilled to welcome Dylan and Ashley back to the market again this year! If you are also interested in joining our wonderful team of vendors then click on the link below to access our application form.

We are looking for growers, bakers, artisans and producers of any home-grown or home-made products!
