Each year in the US, nearly 5 million people are treated for skin cancer, making it one of the most common of all cancers. Through preventative measures and early detection, this cancer is the easiest to cure. Screening results will be given immediately along with recommended follow-up, if necessary.
Risk factors for skin cancers include:
• Fair skin that burns easily
• Family history
• History of indoor tanning
• Blonde or red hair, blue or green eyes
• Personal history of sunburns, especially early in life
• Large number of moles
