Ruth C. A. Thompson

Ruth C. A. Thompson, 98, of 338 W. 4th St., Emporium, PA died at her residence on Wednesday (June 17, 2015) morning. She was born December 9, 1916 in Grand Prairie, Minnesota a daughter of the late Rev. H. E. and Adelia Schreiber Tessmann. She married the late Orville I. Thompson who died in 1998.

 Mrs. Thompson loved Cameron County so much she moved to Emporium with her son in May of 2006 and enjoyed everyday here in the mountains. She was a loving person to everyone she met. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Ruth was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Emporium.

 Surviving Son: James (Jeannie) Thompson, Red Lion, PA 

Son: Michael (Judith) Thompson, Emporium 

5 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren 

Preceded in Death By Parents: Rev. H. E. and Adelia Schreiber Tessmann Husband: Orville I. Thompson 

Six Brothers and Sisters 

There will be No Visitation.

 Memorial Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (June 27, 2015) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bruce Burkness, Pastor, St John's Lutheran Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
