Cameron County to Tackle Bath Salts
Emporium Borough Police Officer in Charge Matt Siple
will present a community program on the apparent drug of choice in Cameron
County, bath salts. The free program will be held Wednesday November 13 at 7pm
at the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department.
Siple has spoken to various groups throughout the
county, recanting the number of needles found in one recent drug arrest and
others picked up along the streets by municipal workers. Bath salts can be
injected, snorted, or smoked. Siple plans to discuss the history of the drug,
why it is hard to identify and what the police department has been doing to curb
its use in Cameron County.
