State Police at
Emporium are asking the public's help in their investigation of an
early morning robbery at the Krazy A Dog Kennel at 11233 Route 120, 2 miles west
of Emporium in Shippen Township, Cameron County.
On
Thursday (today) at about 6:40 AM, an unidentified male actor entered the Krazy
A Dog Kennel and was able to open the cash register and remove cash and coin
currency. Betty Allen, 62, of Emporium, PA, the victim and owner of the
business, attempted to intervene by preventing the actor from fleeing. During
her attempt, she was assaulted by the male and sustained an injury. Due to being
assaulted, she was unable to see in what direction the male fled the
scene.
Trooper Farabaugh said the actor fled on foot and at
this time it is unknown of a vehicle was used to facilitate his flight. Anyone
who may have seen any vehicles parked in the area during time frame that this
occurred or any other suspicious or unusual activities or persons, please
contact the PA State Police at Emporium at 814-486-3321.
