A company directly tied to the Marcellus gas industry intends to locate an operation at the rail yard in the eastern end of Emporium. Schlumberger provides sand to companies during the process of well drilling known as fracking.
Tuesday, March 29 at 6PM representatives from Schlumberger will give a presentation during the Cameron County Marcellus Gas Task Force meeting. Questions regarding the operation of the facility will be answered.
The gas task force meetings are open to the public. They are held at the Cameron County Court House in the courtroom.
