A Sinnemahoning woman was moderately injured at 1:00 am Thursday morning when her car slid off the roadway on Railroad Street in the Village of Sinnemahoning and sheared two utility poles from the ground.
Alicia M. Cassabian, 22, of Railroad Street, Sinnemahoning, PA, was transported from the scene of the crash to Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys by Sinnemahoning ambulance.
Troopers said the crash occurred as Cassabian was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am West on Railroad Street when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle began to spin clockwise on the road and exited on the north berm. The car impacted two utility poles with the driver's side, shearing the poles off at the ground level.
Cassabian fled the scene and was located at her residence. She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. She will be charged in District Court for traffic violations. The vehicle suffered disabling damage.
