4 th of July Weekend
Program Title: Stars & Stripes
Date: Thursday, July 3 rd
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Environmental Learning Center
Description: Join the park educator for a short program on the history of
Independence Day and the American flag. A make and take craft will follow the talk.

Program Title: Red, White, & Blue Scavenger Hunt
Date: Friday, July 4 th
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Environmental Learning Center
Description: Come out and explore Sizerville State Park and search for red, white, and
blue colors in nature! Children should be accompanied by an adult and sturdy footwear
is recommended. Feel free to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a bottle of water.

Program Title: Film in the Forest: Hummingbirds
Date: Friday, July 4 th
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Did you know that a hummingbird’s wings beat approximately 70 times per
second? Join the park educator for an info session on hummingbirds that will cover
topics like how fast these tiny birds can fly, what their diet consists of, and so much
more! Short talk followed by a movie—feel free to bring snacks and a blanket!

Program Title: Awesome Amphibians
Date: Saturday, July 5 th
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Do you know all the different types of amphibians that PA has to offer?
Come out to this program and find out information on frogs, salamanders, toads, and
newts. Short talk followed by exploring the park to try and find some of these cool
critters!

Program Title: What’s the Score?
Date: Saturday, July 5 th
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: What is the Boone & Crockett Club? Who founded it? Why is antler
scoring important to conservation? All these questions and more will be addressed at
this program! Short talk followed by a live demonstration of scoring an elk antler, plus
the chance for you to try as well!

Sizerville State Park, find the program listed, and click on the Register button right
under the program date, time, and location. For more information or questions

moved or cancelled.
