Fish For Free Day
Want to give fishing a try? Stop by George B. Stevenson
Reservoir on Friday July 4th and cast a line. It's Fish for Free Day, so no fishing license is required. A
park educator will be on hand to assist, and fishing rods, tackle and bait will be provided. Stop by
anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM.

Fireflies at 40 Maples
Whether you call them fireflies or lighting bugs these
glowing beetles are a staple of summers in Pennsylvania. Join a park educator and learn about their
lives before going for a stroll to enjoy nature’s fireworks at dusk.

Tree Identification Hike
Embark on an approximately 3-mile hike on the
lowlands trail with a park naturalist, as we explore and identify a variety of tree species found here at
Sinnemahoning State Park.

Insect Investigation
Join a park naturalist in an investigation of the
amazing diversity of insects found at Sinnemahoning. All tools to catch and study these small
creatures will be provided.

Eagles of Pennsylvania
There was a time not so long ago when seeing an
Eagle anywhere in Pennsylvania was rare at best. Join a park naturalist and learn all about eagles,
what species occur in the park, and how Pennsylvania played a big role in the rebound of our
national symbol.

Pontoon Tours of the Stevenson Reservoir
Join park staff
for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake, as we cruise the shoreline of the George B.
Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. Group size is limited. To reserve a seat, please pre-
register. Registration is not required but is strongly recommended.
