Thomas Worrall, Jr.

 

Thomas Worrall, Jr. of Turtle Creek, age 89, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Born the son of the late Thomas Worrall Sr. and the late Mae (Crouse) Worrall.

Beloved husband of Bonnie Lee (Hawse) Worrall, who together celebrated 67 years of marriage on October 5, 2024.

Loving father of Brenda (the late Dennis) Thompson of Wilkins Twp., Mark (Valerie) Worrall of Washington Twp., and Linda (A.J.) Worrall of Franklin Park.

Cherished grandfather of Joeseph Lentz, Ealion (Kelley) Worrall, Mark Worrall, Kelly (Samuel) Gallo, Thomas Ryan Thompson, Lindsay Worrall, Macy Worrall, and the late Sevren Worrall.

Great grandfather of Kyle Joseph Worrall and Eugene Worrall.

Preceded in death by his siblings; Betty (the late Ike) Shaver, John (the late Mildred) Worrall, and Grace (the late Ed) Kravetz.

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends from the Wilkins Township Elks Lodge.

Tom was a proud graduate of Turtle Creek High School, class of 1953. In his later years, Tom was a member of the Turtle Creek High School reunion committee. Tom proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a skilled carpenter and valued member of Local 430 of the Carpenters Union. Tom spent the majority of his life working on job sites throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. One notable job was laying the astroturf for the original Three Rivers Stadium, an assignment he valued being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tom loved the memories made with his son Mark on their many hunting and fishing trips to Sterling Run. Most of all, Tom treasured the role of caring for the love of his life, Bonnie Lee, something he did with the utmost dedication and compassion up until his final breath.

Friends are welcome Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by a presentation of Military Honors.
