Tommajean Young, 71, of West Fourth Street, Emporium, PA died at UPMC-Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA on Wednesday evening (April 15, 2020).
She was born December 25, 1948 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late Daniel and Mercedes Fodge Bunn. On May 12, 1978 in Emporium she married the late Thomas L. Young.
Tommajean was raised in St. Marys and graduated from Elk County Catholic High School. She retired from Sheetz where she worked as beverage hostess for many years. Tommajean also had a home based business and made numerous birthday and wedding cakes for members of the community. She enjoyed reading, collecting cookbooks, genealogy and social media, her three dogs and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine Young Pifer (David), Emporium; one step-daughter, Lisa Evans (George), Coronado, CA; three step-sons, Robert Young (Kelly), Seaford, VA; Brian Young (Lee), Leechburg, PA; Dennis Young (Samantha), Springfield, VA;
nine grandchildren: Chelsea, Shey, Shayla, Rochelle, Matthew, Steven( Carla), Samantha, Michael and Chrissy
two great grandchildren, Beau and Liam; one step-sister, Joyce Herzing Gerg, Abbeville, SC; one step-brother, David Herzing, Emporium; and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers,
John and Richard Bunn
There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
