There are a lot of activities and events scheduled in Cameron County for the upcoming weeks.

 December 6 from 6pm - 8 pm

 Bring the kids for an evening of crafting and fun. 

Kids will be able to make some Christmas gifts for family members.

Plaid Party Friday December 6, from 8-11 pm 

 Ditch the ugly sweater and wear plaid to this party!

A new event in Cameron County is planned for Friday December 6. A plaid party will be held at A Christmas Time. Attendees asked to wear plaid, and if not, Santa will collect an extra $5 from them at the door. This event kicks off the adult events planned for Sarah Janes Art Studio in downtown Emporium. Tickets are $20 each and include appetizers, and music. It is a BYOB event. Tickets are limited and can be purchased online at Eventbrite or in person at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce office.

 December 8 Crafters invited to create their own boxwood wreath on Sunday Dec. 8 from 3-5pm.
 The class taught by Pat Martin will be held at A Christmas Time.
 The cost of the class is $25.00 Boxwood, wire, a frame and bow all included.

 Attendees should bring wire clippers and cutters. Seats are limited to 10 people.

 Childrens Christmas Party

 The Annual Kid’s Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 14 , 2019 at 11am in the dining room of the club. A sign-up sheet will be on the dining room counter to register your child prior to the party. Adults registering your children must be a member of the club. The age limit is up to and including 10 years old. Any child over the age of 10 can be registered but the parent must supply the wrapped gift for the child. Registration cutoff is November 14, 2019. Holiday Open House Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12 PM – 2 PM

Sinnemahoning State Park 4843 Park Rd, Austin, PA 16720

The Holiday Open House presents an opportunity for the community to view the Park Office and Wildlife Center all decked out in its winter splendor.

Children will have an opportunity to visit with Santa, while the young and young at heart can enjoy the eye-catching holiday displays created by park staff, Grandpa Hank’s winter village donated by Debbie Calkins of Mansfield, and of course, the state-of-the art wildlife exhibits.

Listen to the sounds of the season as you make a holiday themed craft. Enjoy a hot cup of cocoa or mulled cider while chatting with friends by the cozy fire. Light refreshments will be offered throughout the afternoon.

All ages are welcome to attend this free event. Please join us for the festivities!

Caroling in the Wilds

Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 6 PM – 9:30 PM

We are excited to announce the Second Annual Caroling in the Wilds event, to be hosted in Emporium PA on December 21 2019. Last years event, which was completely impromptu, exceeded all expectations. We would like this years event to be bigger and better!

• The event will start at 6:00pm on Saturday December 21 at the Hygrade Inn. You are welcome to arrive any time after 5:30pm for some light refreshments before exercising those vocal chords! • Dress to be festive and win the MOST FESTIVE COSTUME CONTEST! • We will be trimming the song list to a limited number of well known songs. • Depending on the turnout, we will be accepting a limited number of REQUEST A CAROLS, for those people who’d like a carol performed for their family. This is to be announced • We will live stream caroling on the Caroling in the Wilds facebook page. • We have asked permission to use the Cameron County Courthouse lobby as an ending destination, with hot chocolate, cookies and other refreshments. Stay tuned for that.

If you would like to attend, please let us know. We are hoping this years event brings all ages in our community together again for a second year.
