Dorman “Rip” M. Moore Jr., 76, of 4274 Rich Valley Rd., Emporium, PA died peacefully at Family Hospice, Mount Lebanon, PA on Saturday morning.(April 28, 2018)

He was born December 12, 1941 in Emporium, PA to the late Dorman M. and Margaret K. (Swoyer) Moore, Sr.

He is survived by partner and, to quote Rip, “better half”, Mary Grasser, Emporium.

Rip was a retired truck driver working for several local companies in Cameron County.

His greatest joy was his family and friends. His favorite hobby was restoring tractors and old guns. Rip has always been one for cracking jokes and was making the nurses and family laugh even through his hospital stay.

He is survived by his son, DeWayne Moore, Mechanicville, NY; sister Grace (Ed) LaBrozzi, Emporium; two sisters-in-law Joanne Moore, Emporium, and Cynthia Miglicio Moore, Emporium.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Cyril "Sonny" Moore and Robert Moore.

A Memorial Service will be held at Emporium Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Rd., Emporium, PA on Saturday (May 5, 2018) at 2:00 PM with Bob Spaeth, officiating.

Visitation will be at Emporium Alliance Church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be private, for family only.

Special thanks to the staff at Family Hospice for their compassionate and diligent care of Rip.
