Eleanor A. Walden, 93, of Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Maryland formerly of 175 Parkway Dr., Emporium, PA died at Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Maryland on Thursday (January 8, 2015) morning.
She was born February 10, 1921 in Iselin, PA a daughter of the late Valentino and Amelia Julio Geovanelle.
In Clearfield, PA she married the late John Walden.
Mrs. Walden graduated from the former Philadelphia General Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a veteran having served with the US Army during WW II and the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. During WW II, just four days after D-Day, she was with the first group of nurses sent in to assist soldiers. Her military career span 17 years. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church. She retired from the former Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital where she worked for many years.

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Monday (January 12, 2015 ) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, officiating.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys, PA
