Barbara M. McIsaac


Barbara M. McIsaac, 84, of 40 W. 5th Street, Emporium, PA died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, PA Thursday (November 6, 2014) afternoon

She was born January 25, 1930 in Renovo, PA a daughter of the late George and Catherine Miller Saxton. She married the late George A. McIsaac, Sr.

Mrs. McIsaac retired from PA pressed Metals in 1992 where she worked for over 27 years. Barb was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church where she was active as a Eucharistic Minister, and served as President of the Rosary Alter Society. She was also a member of the Benedictine Oblates at Queen of the World Church in St. Marys. She also was involved in the Prison Ministry. She was also involved in the charismatic prayer group.

Surviving Daughter: Robin Woods and her husband Edward, Emporium Daughter: Izola Winston, Driftwood Daughter: Inez Good, Dover, DE Daughter: Georgeann Work, Shelocta Son: Neil McIsaac and his wife Gloria, Emporium Numerous Grandchildren Numerous Great Grandchildren Sister: Margaret McKimm, Emporium Sister: Edith Johnson, Driftwood

Preceded in Death By Parents: George and Catherine Miller Saxton Husband: George A. McIsaac, Sr. Son: George A. "Buddy" McIsaac, Jr. on Jan 15, 2004 Son: Thomas McIsaac who died in 1947 Son: Gaylord McIsaac on March 21, 2004 2 Daughters: Danette McIsaac & Martha Miller 2 Sisters: Georgeann Buchanan & Catherine Long

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Monday (November 10, 2014) at 10:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 PM., where a Vigil Service will be held at 5:45 PM and the Rosary will be recited at 5:15 PM

Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Driftwood, PA Memorial Contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., 501 Howard Avenue, Altoona, PA, 16601 or to St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 E. 4th Street, Emporium, PA 15834
