We at Apollo Theatre need to inform everyone that we will not be reopening this Friday, May 29, 2020, despite our region entering the green phase. Theatres were not previously listed in the green phase. We did not anticipate being allowed to reopen this soon. In the upcoming weeks, we will be preparing the building for reopening and looking for older movies that may be available for us to show.
WHEN WE REOPEN WE WILL BE IMPLEMENTING THE FOLLOWING NEW POLICIES:
• Our auditorium capacity has been lowered to 50%. Every other row will not be used and there will be at least three chairs between groups to allow for social distancing.
• The theatre will open at 6:00pm instead of 6:30pm. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early so they can get their pick of designated seats and be ushered into the auditorium. Choice of seats is first come first serve. We will not sell any tickets after the movie starts, so do not arrive late.
• We will be showing one movie in the evening at 7:00pm and switch between auditoriums daily to allow for thorough cleaning between shows.
• Employees will be wearing masks.
• Counter tops and other surfaces will be sanitized throughout the evening.
• Bathrooms will be sanitized every thirty minutes.
• The concession stand will close after 7:30pm. It will not be open during the movie. This is to encourage patrons to remain in their chairs and to not leave the auditorium unnecessarily.
• When not in their seats, patrons must wear their masks at all times. Masks must be worn in the lobby, at the concession stand, in the aisles of the auditorium, and to the bathrooms. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
We ask that people cooperate with us as we transition to this new normal together. We will announce the date we will be reopening once the theater is prepared inside and we have found available movies.
We want to thank everyone for their patience and support over the last few months. We will continue (weather permitting) to offer sidewalk concession sales until we can entertain you with movies again.
