Help Bring Sarge Home

Mary Mackey
🐾🐾❣️Please read…. See something, say something, know something, DO the right thing!
🧡 Help Bring Sarge Home 🧡
📍 Tioga County, PA
📅 Missing Since: November 3, 2023

It’s now been 19 months since Sarge—a beloved German Shepherd—went out for his final Tioga County adventure and never returned home. His family has never stopped searching, never stopped hoping, and never stopped posting in hopes of finding their boy.

💔 His owner, Candy, has been facing cancer treatment for several months, undergoing IV chemotherapy—without her “fuzzy nurse” at her side. Sarge isn’t just a pet. He’s family. He’s comfort. And his absence has taken a profound toll on Candy’s health and strength.

🐾 We know Sarge is smart, resourceful, and resilient. When lost once before, he begged for help at people’s back doors and navigated his way back—until he was safely trapped and reunited. He loved his food station. He was easy to trap. And he loved his family.

⚠️ Witnesses have come forward. Rumors continue. It’s been reported Sarge was chipped and rehomed, and that those involved are watching these posts. But Candy doesn’t want revenge—she wants resolution. She wants her boy back. And she deserves it.

✨ If you know anything—if you’ve seen Sarge, heard someone talking, or suspect you’ve encountered a familiar pup under a new name—please come forward. This family deserves peace. Candy deserves her healing companion. Sarge deserves to come home.

📢 Please share this post far and wide. Let’s make Sarge visible again. Let’s bring him back to the family that loves him more than life.

Richard “Dick” Cool

Richard “Dick” Cool, 92, of Emporium, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Born to Marion and Kathleen Foley Cool in 1932 during the great depression, Dick was a lifelong worker and storyteller. A member of Operating Engineers Local #66 for 70 years, he traveled widely, operating heavy machinery and building roads, pipelines, and friendships along the way.

He married his high school sweetheart, Bev, and together they shared a lifetime of adventure—raising a family, serving their community, and exploring nearly every state by motorhome.

Dick served for 50 years in the Masonic Lodge, rising to Worshipful Master three times, and was a member of the Coudersport Consistory. He also served proudly alongside his wife in the Order of the Eastern Star, where he was Worthy Patron and she was Worthy Matron for three years. Known for his generosity and quiet strength, he was always the first to show up when someone needed a hand. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity and love.

He is survived by his children Nancy, Richard II, and Barbara; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters Carol and Lois. He was preceded in death by his wife Bev, his parents Marion and Kathleen, and his siblings Joe, Jim, and Linda.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Wednesday morning (July 16, 2025), from 11:00 -11:45 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Bob Spaeth officiating.

Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Shriner's Children’s Hospital-Erie, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505
