Jesse Allen Reid

Jesse Allen Reid, 49, of St. Marys, PA, passed away suddenly early morning of December 23, 2023 at his home.

Born on April 18, 1974, in Coudersport, PA, Jesse was a loyal and beloved friend to many, a dedicated brother and a genuinely good (and sometimes complicated) person. Despite certain hurdles, Jesse persevered and always maintained a hopeful outlook.

Jesse is survived by his brothers: Fred (Patricia) Reid of Wilcox, PA; Norman (Penelope) Reid of Emporium (Beechwood), PA; Jody (Audra) Reid of Emporium, PA; Grant Reid of Emporium, PA; Theodore Reid of St. Marys, PA; and several beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Marshall Reid of Emporium (Beechwood), PA and his father, Richard Reid of Emporium (Beechwood), PA.

While attending Cameron County High School, Jesse was active in football. After graduating, Jesse proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for four years (basic Training at Parris Island, then at Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton). Following his military service, he held various manufacturing positions in Emporium and St. Marys, PA.

Jesse was a member of the Emporium First United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed most of all playing with his little buddy, Ashton, hunting, fishing, attending music festivals and events, and staying up to date on (and occasionally debating about) current affairs.

Rest in Peace, Jesse. See you on the other side!

Memorial Services will be arranged and announced at the convenience of the family.

  1. Jesse is still technically my son in law. He was in a marriage with my daughter. They have been separated for many years. I liked Jesse. He was good for my granddaughter. He had his demons. I will remember him as he was. RIP Jesse. Loved you.
