Cameron County Artisan Center has played host to the
traveling exhibit of PA Wilds Juried artist Julie Mader. On Friday June 7 a reception will be held at
the end of the showing. The art exhibit
funded through the Pennsylvania Partners of the Arts is inspired by the
strength required of the patient, the medical team and those who love and
support both sides.
The traveling exhibit focuses on Cancer fighting
plants. The plants found in your own
backyard have made strides in the fight of Cancer. For instance the bark from White Birch Trees,
and portions of the Yew, Periwinkle and Mayapple all have helped scientists create medicines
that fight a variety of Cancers.
Stop in the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan
Center from 3-6pm on Friday June 7 and
enjoy refreshments and talk to the artist!
The exhibit next stop is in Bradford.
