Alma M. Bailey, 70, of Meadow Road, Emporium, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, in her home.
Born January 17, 1948 in Port Allegany, PA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Nina Mead Taylor. She was married to Harold Bailey who passed away in 2002.
Formerly of Port Allegany, Alma has been a resident of Emporium for 49 years and was employed by several local businesses including the Cabin Kitchen, Motor Coils, Phil’s Shoe Store, Pro America and finally Sheetz until the time of her retirement.
Alma was a member of the Vets Club and the Moose Club, both in Emporium.
She is survived by: two sons, Harold “Chum” (Christina) Bailey of Sterling Run, and Edward P. Bailey of North Creek; four daughters, Tanya Lynn (Shawn) Connelly of Austin, Pa., Tina M. Abbott of Knoxville, Pa., Tammy I. (Mike) Neyman of Emporium, Lorraine F. Bailey and significant other Chuck Sarokon of North Creek; thirteen grandchildren, Sara Neyman, Kelly (Josh) Bundy, Adam and Ryan Clark, Kyle and Taylor Connelly, Natasha and Timothy Banks, Katherine and Harold “Jr.” Bailey, and Scott, Ashley and Alexander Abbott; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence “Tim” Taylor of Dukes Center, Bill Taylor and Clark Barber both of Port Allegany, and Fred Mead of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas R. Taylor in 1967 and Larry K. Bailey in 1986.
Friends will be received in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium, on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at which time Funeral and Committal
Services will be held with Robert Spaeth of Emporium, officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
