Dorothy Jean LaPolt, 77, of West Fourth Street, Emporium, died Monday, November 14, 2016 in her home.
Born May 26, 1939 in Emporium, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Edna Lattin LaPolt.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, she attended Emporium High School and spent her life working as a babysitter and care giver.
Dorothy had attended the First Baptist Church of Emporium and very much enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors include: two sisters, Etta Gee of Dunkirk, NY and Doris Brittin of Emporium; and many nieces and nephews including a favorite niece, Linda LaPolt, who was also her care giver.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Albert LaPolt, William LaPolt and Sanford LaPolt, and one sister, Edith Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Recreation Room of the Emporium Arms Apartments with Pastor Clair Slawson and Rev. Chris Groeger officiating.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Prayer & Share Fellowship at the Emporium Arms Apartments, 324 West Fourth St., Emporium.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium.
