Environmental Education Programs for the weekend of August 3rd
Program Title: Rainbow Rendezvous
Date: Saturday, August 3 d
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Location: Environmental Learning Center
Description: Did you know that the Earth is the only planet in the solar system
that has rainbows? Stop by the ELC for a short talk on rainbows and go on a
rainbow scavenger hunt through the park after. Feel free to bring binoculars, a
water bottle, and comfy shoes to walk in!
Program Title: CCC History at Sizerville
Date: Saturday, August 3rd
Time: 8:00 – 9:30 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Did you know that there was a CCC Camp located right here in
Sizerville State Park from 1933 - 1935? Come to this program to learn about the
history of Camp S-85, what exactly these men did for the park, and how their
legacy is still alive today. Short talk followed by a movie on the CCC—feel free to
bring snacks and a blanket!
Additional Information:
In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be
moved or cancelled.

With a minimum of one week notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard
of hearing are available for educational programs.
