Sizerville State Park Environmental Education Programs for the weekend of August 26 th

Program Title: Stream Study 
Date: Saturday, August 26 th 
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 PM 
Location: Near Pavilion 3 
Description: Join the park educator and look for macroinvertebrates, like stoneflies and crayfish, in the stream, along with learning their importance. Short talk followed by exploring the stream - expect to get wet so bring along water shoes, swimsuits, and a towel! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Program Title: Dutch Oven Cooking 
Date: Saturday, August 26 th
 Time: 7:00 – 8:30 PM
 Location: Campground Amphitheater 
Description: Join State Park Volunteers, John and Jan Halter, as they show us how people used to cook using just a fireplace and a Dutch oven. Presentation and demonstration of how biscuits were made using these tools will be taking place at the Campground Amphitheater in Sizerville State Park. Samples of the biscuits will be provided at the end of the program.

Impromptu (Every Week): 
Saturday afternoon – 5:00 PM – Poolside Powwow o Take a break from the pool, grab a snack or ice cream, and join the park educator for a short impromptu program. The topic will be revealed at the powwow, so come join us and see! 

 Additional Information: In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or cancelled. If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park office at (814) 486-5605. With a minimum of one week notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
