Environmental Education Programs for the weekend of August 5th
Program Title: Beautiful Butterflies
Date: Saturday, August 5th
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Location: Pavilion 4
Description: Join the park educator for a short talk on butterflies and their roles in
our environments around us. There will be a walk afterwards to see what kind of
butterflies we can find in the park!
Wear sturdy shoes and feel free to bring
sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks. Nets will be provided.

Program Title: Wild About Bats
Date: Saturday, August 5 th
Time: 8:00 – 9:30 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Did you know that bats are pollinators? How about that bats are pest
control specialists? Come to this program to learn all about bats and what these
critters do for us every day. Short talk followed by a movie—feel free to bring
snacks and a blanket!

Impromptu (Every Week):
Saturday afternoon – 5:00 PM – Poolside Powwow
Take a break from the pool, grab a snack or ice cream, and join the
park educator for a short impromptu program. The topic will be
revealed at the powwow, so come join us and see!

Additional Information:
In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or
cancelled.
If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact

With a minimum of one week notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
are available for educational programs.
