Michael G. McBreen

Michael G. McBreen, 71, of Bear Rd., Emporium, PA formerly of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his residence, Emporium, PA on Tuesday morning (April 4, 2023). He was born July 6, 1951 in Altoona, PA a son of the late Donald and Jean Griffith McBreen. On February 27, 1971 in Ebensburg, PA he married Nancy Makin, who survives. Mike and Nancy celebrated over 52 years of marriage.

After high school, Mike served with the US Coast Guard for four years. He then worked for eighteen years in the coal mines and then ten years as a security guard for homeland security. He was a member of the Emporium Moose Lodge, Miller-Raffaele Post 6221, VFW, the Cameron County Memorial Detail, Ebensburg Legion, and was a life member of May Hollow Sportsman Club, and the Sinnamahoning Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, and loved being in the outdoors. He and his wife Nancy were able to live out their dream by living in the Hunts Run area.

In addition to his wife Nancy he is survived by two sons, Jeff McBreen, Pittsburgh; and Josh McBreen (Tifany), Taxas; six grandchildren: Kagan, Mason, Trinity,Tamsyn, Josie and Orion; eight brothers and sisters, Jim McBreen (Susan), Maryland; Shelly Bittinger McBreen, Mechanicsburg, PA; Donald McBreen (Jan), Johnstown; Mark McBreen, Ashville, PA; Scott McBreen (Kathie), Ebensburg, PA; Douglas McBreen (Julie), Carroltown, PA; Kevin McBreen (Tricia), Ebensburg, PA; Martha McBreen (Stacey) Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was was preceded in death by his parents.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. There will be a "Celebration of Life" at a later date at the convenience of the family.
