Jesse R. Moate, 34, of 109 W Sixth Street, Emporium, PA passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday morning (September 7, 2021). He was born January 3, 1987 in St. Marys, PA a son of Richard and Veronica Caldwell Moate, Emporium.
In 2005, Jesse graduated from Cameron County High School where he had received multiple accolades for his grades, perfect attendance, and his involvement in track & field. After graduation, Jesse went into the Air Force and embarked on a 14-year journey that would take him to such locations as Georgia, Colorado, Afghanistan, Iraq, and South Korea (among other places.) While in the Air Force, Jesse would acquire high level security clearances that would prohibit him from telling his family exactly what he did for a living. When asked, all he could tell you was "I look at a screen all day and it has to do with national security." In 2008, he would rekindle an elementary school flame and marry Amber K. Hostler of Ridgway. In November, they would have their first son; Jesse Richard Moate, Junior. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen health issues, Jesse Junior's stay on Earth would only last a few days. This devastated Jesse but he and Amber would go on to have three more children; Jaslyn, Ricky (named after his grandfather,) and Jimmy (named after his Uncle James.) Jesse loved being a father. He loved going on vacations and doing fun things with his kids. He also enjoyed music and writing poetry/song lyrics. He was an avid football fan and loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Cameron County Red Raiders. In 2019, Jesse moved back to his hometown of Emporium where he bought a house on West Sixth Street. Jesse loved his friends and he loved his family. He would frequently run errands and do favors for his loved ones. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious smile, and was very good at helping people forget about their problems. Jesse was the kind of guy that you were proud to call your friend, brother, son, dad, etc. and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter, Jaslyn R. Moate; two sons, Richard J. Moate; James E. Maverick Moate; brother, James D. Moate; brother, Jacob A. Moate; sister, Sarah A. Moate; sister, Karrie L. Moate; sister, Michelle L.
