Guy and Mary Felt Manor
Attn. families/residents/visitors:
As you have heard in the news, COVID continues to strike in our county. The number of COVID cases has begun to rise. Felt Manor became aware today 9/8/21, that one of our Care Providers tested positive. This development triggers our infection control practices as well as testing.
Effective immediately, Felt Manor will restrict visitation temporarily for the safety of our residents and staff. No visitor will be permitted into the facility with the exception of certain compassionate care situations. Please know that the spread of this disease is concerning for us all. We understand that communication with your loved ones is incredibly important and we encourage you to communicate with them in other ways such as telephone, video chat, email, zoom, or social media.
In addition to restricting visitation to prevent illness within the facility, we are also focused on infection control practices as well as testing all residents and staff. Staff has continually been tested weekly and have all tested negative.
We continue to monitor information and guidance from the Department of Health and CDC. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but believe it is in the best interest of our residents.
We will continue to keep you informed and do not hesitate to contact Michele Greenthaner, Infection Preventionist, Reshawn Shipe, Director of Nursing, or myself with any questions or concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Jones
Administrator
