Tomorrow is the Trout Release day for the third-grade students at Woodland Elementary.
The students and teachers did an amazing job raising the trout from egg to fingerling. The two pictures attached are from Mr. Jones and Mr. Lovetts class rooms. Unfortunately Mrs. Wilsons class had some problems with their fish, and suffered a major die-off. The students still got the chance to help raise the fish in the other classrooms.
The Trout in the Classroom program is made possible by a partnership with PA Council of Trout Unlimited and The PA Fish and Boat Commission. The District, along with CCOYA also partner to offer support to purchase supplies, and hold conservation education visits throughout the year with the third-grade students. We are already looking forward to next year!
