Library Extends Contest Deadline

There’s still plenty of time to enter The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library’s “Create with Our Card Catalog Contest” as the deadline has now been extended through June 30, 2021.

The contest is open to all ages and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in Adult, Teen, and Youth categories. Entries will be judged blind by a panel of 5 community members.

Contest prizes will be awarded as follows:

  Adult (18 or older): 1st Place: $100 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop and a basket of locally made items; 2nd Place: $55 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop, $20 Chamber bucks and a bestseller new book; 3rd Place: $20 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop, $10 Chamber bucks, and a new book.

 Teen (12-17): 1st Place: $100 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop and a movie themed gift basket; 2nd Place: $50 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop, $20 Sheetz gift card, and a bestseller new book; 3rd Place: $20 to Seetz, $10 Chamber bucks, and a new book. 

Youth (under 12): 1st Place: $100 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop and a bucket full of summer toys; 2nd Place: $55 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop, $20 to Twisted Sisters Ice Cream Shop, and a bestseller new book; 3rd Place: $20 to Thing-a-Majig gift shop, $10 to Twisted Sisters Ice Cream Shop, and a new book.

Those interested in participating can pick up a bag with a stack of Library Catalog Cards along with a submission form (inside the bag of cards) at the library and use them as a medium to create art of any type.
