The recent mitigation orders issued by the Governor and Secretary of Health require businesses to prohibit nonessential visitors from entering the premises. Additionally, the Cameron County Commissioners were informed that this order applies to governmental operations. Therefore, effective immediately, access will be restricted to all county offices.
The courthouse will remain open, however, it is strongly encouraged that appointments be made with the individual office prior to arrival at the courthouse. Persons entering the courthouse will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire and be temperature screened prior to admittance. Other existing mitigation measures such as social distancing and facial coverings are still required.
Unless otherwise ordered, these restrictions do not apply to court operations. Any restrictions or changes to court operations will be communicated through the 59th Judicial District.
