Lewis C. "Barney" Dobson

Lewis C. "Barney" Dobson, 80, of Rich Valley Road, Emporium, PA died at his residence on Friday (April 17, 2020) night following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 29, 1939 in Grange, Jefferson County, PA a son of the late Clair and Minnie I. Craft Dobson. Barney’s first wife and the mother of his children was the late Eleanor Grace Hamil Dobson. He later married Mary Long, who survives. Barney was a farmer for over 35 years. After moving to Emporium he worked at RaCoh from which he retired after many years of employment. He loved fishing, hunting, music, food (especially sweets), spending time with his friends and family and telling tall tale stories with a sense of humor.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, William C. Dobson (Cyndi), Marion Center, PA and Jeffrey Dobson, Emporium; one daughter, Jennie Buynak (Steve), New Kensington; six grandchildren, including Elijah whom Barney and Mary are raising, and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Merry Frye (Merte), Ashville, NY and Dortha Dobson (Jim Hall), Jamestown, NY; brother-in-law, Rick Long (Donna K.), Emporium 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by A sister, Hazel and two brothers, Howard and Daniel.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced. There will be No Visitation.
