We would like to announce that we are waiving the property tax late fee from April 30th to May 31, 2020 due to the financial hardship the Covid-19 pandemic has placed on many of our
property owners.
This is not an extension of your property tax due date; it is a one-month waiver of the late fee penalty.
We encourage those who are financially able, to pay your taxes on time due to the entities that provide critical services to our county and municipalities.

I would sincerely appreciate knowing which "ENTITIES" actually benefit the most from our taxes. I have long wondered which parts of our fine county benefit the most and are most in need of the Tax Dollars we supply every year. In a similar note: why aren't individuals who survive on Social Security alone, aren't give a break on the taxes. Also, perhaps there should be given some thought to allowing all Cameron County citizens (who are taxpayers) to pay their taxes on a monthly, bimonthly, or even a trimonthly basis. We are in a situation, now that has been inevitable for a long time. IF CAMERON COUNTY survives this great American Coronavirus Pandemic - and any of our boroughs, towns, and villages, it will be NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE! Thank you. I, and my family before me, have been Cameron County taxpayers for over 100 years.
