Teresa Stout a marathon canoe paddler, yoga instructor and friend of fellow paddler Ken Gerg was the guest speaker at the Rotary program April 30th.
Teresa gave a pictorial presentation of her many paddling experiences focusing on her experience canoe paddling in the Yukon Territory River Quest Race. Touted as “the race to the midnight sun,” the Yukon River Quest is the longest and one of the most arduous marathon canoe races (715 km) on earth, challenging canoeists and kayakers from around the world to test their endurance on a race from Whitehorse to Dawson City in Canada’s north-western Yukon Territory with just 55 hours to complete the task.
