Evard L. “Ed” Klock, 71, resided at 963 Cherry Hill Road, St. Marys, and a former resident of Emporium, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Penn Highlands DuBois, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born July 19, 1947, in St. Marys, son of the late Alvin O. and Adaline Fenton Klock of Emporium. Ed was a lifelong resident of the area, was a graduate of Cameron County High School, Class of 1965, and a 1969 graduate of the University of Akron. Evard was a former employee of Keystone Carbon Company and a retired employee of Eastern Sintered Metals.
On December 15, 1973, in the Queen of the World Church, Ed married his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth A. Ritter, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Kristie Catalano and her husband Christopher of York; a son, Kevin Klock and his fiancée Madison Williams of St. Marys; grandsons, Nathan, Noah, Idris, and Rowan; a brother, John Klock and his wife Carol of Florida; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a nephew and his wife, John Alan and
Roberta Kay Klock.
Evard had a loving devotion to his family and enjoyed being with them. He had a great work ethic and he enjoyed spending time walking in the park and supporting all of the local sports teams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeff Noble, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation was at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, January 11, 2019,
from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
