Laura E. Arndt, 81, of West Fifth Street, Emporium, passed away Friday, June
1, 2018, in Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys.
Born December 25, 1936 in Tyler, PA, she was the daughter of Charles and
Gladys Smith Beldin. On June 28, 1958 in Trenton, NJ she married Tyrus E.
Arndt who passed away February 6, 2011.
Before relocating to Emporium she was employed for 9 years by GRT
Electronics in California and locally she was employed by Cameron
Manufacturing until retirement.
Mrs. Arndt enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, and the company of her family.
She is survived by: one daughter, Nancy (Brad) Strahl of Emporium; six
grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd (Mary) Beldin
in New Jersey, Dennis Beldin and Richard Beldin both of New Bethlehem; two
sisters, Suzie (Robert) Gibbs of Emporium and Phyllis (Donald) Gower of
Renovo; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four
brothers, one sister, three daughters, Mary Lou Bright, Tyelene Arndt
Gillen, and an infant daughter, and one son, Jay Bright.
Friends will be received in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium,
Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 11 a.m. until noon, at which time Funeral and
Committal Services will be held with the Rev. Rock Pifer of St. Marys, an
affiliate of the Free Methodist denomination, officiating.
Burial will be in Gardner Hill Cemetery, Force.
